All marine goods arriving in Chad must be covered by a Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) or Electronic Cargo Tracking Note, according to a rule set out by the Chad Shippers Council (ECTN). This requirement is in addition to the current one that states that a bill of lading must be attached to every piece of cargo.



From loading at the port of origin through arrival at the destination, the cargo is tracked via a document known as the CTN or ECTN. To clear the goods for importation, Customs must receive the paperwork, which was provided by the shipping business, at the port of destination. To clear the goods for importation, the ctn chad or ectn chad must be obtained before shipping and shown to Customs at the port of destination.

According to a rule established by the Chad Shippers Council, all marine commodities arriving in Chad must be covered by a Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) or Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN). The current requirement that a bill of lading be attached to every item of cargo has been supplemented by this one.


A document known as the ctn chad or ectn chad is used to track the cargo from loading at the port of origin through arrival at the destination. At the port of destination, Customs must accept the paperwork—which was given by the shipping company—to clear the items for importation. The CTN or ECTN must be obtained before shipment and presented to Customs at the port of entry in order to clear the items for importation.
